Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Ringo Starr, Kasabian and Brandon Flowers all have new tours or albums landing within weeks of each other.
Pop and K-pop tend to dominate the concert conversation, but scroll past the stadium residencies and festival headliners this season and you'll find an unusually dense cluster of rock veterans all moving at once — some marking anniversaries, some finally finishing overdue albums, one literally a former Beatle. Here's the through-line connecting six acts spanning five decades of rock.
The Anniversary Tours
My Chemical Romance are treating 2026 as a victory lap for The Black Parade, expanding their anniversary tour into a full stadium run that resumes August 9 at Citi Field in New York and continues through late October. Twenty years on, the band can now afford a rotating support bill that includes Iggy Pop, Babymetal, The Mars Volta and Jimmy Eat World depending on the night — a lineup that would have been unthinkable for an emo band two decades ago. Foo Fighters, meanwhile, aren't marking an anniversary so much as reasserting scale. Their Take Cover Tour opens August 6 in Detroit and runs through NFL stadiums — Soldier Field, Lincoln Financial Field, Nissan Stadium — before wrapping in Las Vegas in late September, with Queens of the Stone Age in support throughout.The Co-Headline Package
Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte split the difference between metal and pop-punk on a 16-date co-headline run that hits UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York on August 10. No one on this list outranks Ringo Starr, who brings His All Starr Band to Forest Hills Stadium in Queens on October 1 as part of a ten-date fall run. The 2026 lineup around him includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette — a genuine supergroup built to back a Beatle.
New Albums From the Old Guard
Two long-running acts also break from touring to put out records this fall. Kasabian finally release ACT III on September 4, their ninth album, after pushing the original July date back so they could "get everything just right." And Killers frontman Brandon Flowers steps out solo again with Thrasher, out August 21 — his first solo album in over a decade, recorded in Nashville's Historic RCA Studio A and leaning noticeably toward country.
