New Music and Tour Kickoffs: Late July Into Early August 2026
Charli xcx's new album, ENHYPEN's Oakland run, Lollapalooza's opening night and three stadium tours all land in the same two-and-a-half-week stretch.
Late July rolls straight into a packed opening week of August this year, with a new album, a festival kickoff and three separate stadium tours all launching within about seventeen days of each other. Here's a quick rundown of what to watch, from a K-pop group's West Coast return to a night of pop-punk and metal on Long Island.
July 24-30: An Album and Two Big Openers
Charli xcx opens the stretch on July 24 with Music, Fashion, Film, her seventh studio album, produced with longtime collaborators A. G. Cook and Finn Keane. The black-and-white cover features John Cale, Marc Jacobs and Martin Scorsese as emblems of the album's three-part title, and the release was preceded by singles "Rock Music," "SS26" and "Wink Wink."Four days later, ENHYPEN bring their fourth world tour to the Bay Area for two nights at Oakland Arena on July 28 and 29. Blood Saga follows the seven-member group's 2025 WALK THE LINE tour, which sold out across its US and European legs, and the Oakland stop continues on to Las Vegas afterward.
Then on July 30, Lollapalooza opens its four-day run in Chicago's Grant Park with Lorde and John Summit topping the first night's bill. Over 150 acts play across seven stages this year, including Charli xcx, Aespa, JENNIE, Turnstile and Tate McRae later in the weekend.
Early August: Stadiums Take Over
The first full week of August belongs to rock. Foo Fighters open their Take Cover Tour in Detroit on August 6, the first stop on a stadium run that stretches through late September with Queens of the Stone Age as support. Three days later, My Chemical Romance mark the 20th anniversary of The Black Parade with a stadium show at Citi Field in New York on August 9, part of an expanded run with rotating support from Iggy Pop, Babymetal and Pierce the Veil among others.
Rounding out the window, Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte co-headline UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York on August 10, midway through their 16-date summer trek pairing Orange County metal with pop-punk.
