Already Booked for 2027: The 8 Biggest Shows on Sale Right Now

It is early August 2026, the fall touring season has not started yet, and a surprising number of the year's most consequential announcements are for shows that will not happen until 2027. Some of that is simple logistics — stadium runs in the Southern Hemisphere have to be booked around a January summer, and arena routing in Europe gets locked a year out. But some of it is a genuine shift in how big tours are sold now: reunions and farewells get announced far enough ahead that the announcement itself is the event, and the on-sale follows months later.

Here are the eight 2027 dates already on the books, ranked by how much they actually matter — measured by scale, scarcity, and how long fans have been waiting.

1. System of a Down and Faith No More, Australia and New Zealand

Nothing else on this list carries two comebacks at once. System of a Down and Faith No More play four stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand in early 2027, opening January 22 at Accor Stadium in Sydney, then Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on January 27, Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on February 1 and Hnry Stadium in Wellington on February 7.

The reason it tops the list is arithmetic on both halves of the bill. These are Faith No More's first concerts in nearly a decade, and System of a Down's first Australian dates since 2012 — a fourteen-year gap on one side of the marquee and a near-decade on the other, resolved on the same four nights. An artist mailing-list presale opened July 28 and general tickets went on sale July 31, with staggered start times in each market, which is what promoters do when they expect every market to queue at once.

2. Megadeth, Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations

Megadeth's Wembley date on March 11, 2027 is one stop on the European chapter of the band's multi-year farewell tour — twenty-four arena shows opening March 9 at The O2 Belfast and closing April 13 in Lisbon, with Black Label Society and Testament supporting throughout.

Two things push it this high. First, finality: a farewell run means the ticket is not a choice between this year and next. Second, absence — these are Megadeth's first British headline dates in eleven years, and the London show lands at OVO Arena Wembley, a room that has become the default British stop for exactly this kind of one-more-time booking.

3. The Eagles at Sphere

The Eagles extend their Las Vegas residency into 2027 with four more Sphere performances on January 15, 16, 22 and 23. The run began in September 2024 and now stands at seventy-two shows — the longest of any act at the venue.

That number is the story. Seventy-two nights in a purpose-built room is not a tour extended into a residency; it is a second career operating on residency logic, where the production stays put and the audience travels. Tickets start at 175 dollars including taxes and fees, which is its own signal about who this is priced for. The band opened 2026 by becoming the first act certified quadruple Diamond by the RIAA, so the demand is not theoretical.

4. Lord Huron, 23 Nights at the Broken Bottle

Lord Huron restart their traveling residency on New Year's Day 2027 at Channel 24 in Sacramento — the first West Coast stop after the December leg — and close the whole thing on January 11 at The Wiltern in their home city, the second of two nights there.

It ranks this high because of how deliberately anti-scale it is. Each show is staged inside the "Broken Bottle," a desert honky-tonk drawn from the band's own fictional universe, and billed as "An Evening With Lord Huron" with no opening act. The setlists pull from the full catalog, radio hits alongside rarely played deep cuts, in theaters far smaller than the amphitheaters they played on the 2026 summer run behind The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. Going down in room size after an amphitheater tour is a choice almost nobody makes.

5. Ride, Here And Now

Ride play O2 Academy Brixton on February 13, 2027, part of a six-date UK tour that opens February 12 in Bournemouth and closes February 19 in Glasgow. These are the Oxford shoegaze band's first live shows in three years, with Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Steve Queralt and Laurence Colbert all back and a set built around the classic material.

The Brixton booking is the detail that elevates it. Ride return to that stage thirty-four years after the 1992 concert filmed and released as Ride - Live at Brixton Academy — the same band, the same room, a third of a century later. General tickets went on sale July 31 at 10am.

6. Bryan Adams, Roll With The Punches

Bryan Adams takes his Roll With The Punches Tour to Australia and New Zealand, opening February 23 at RAC Arena in Perth and closing March 12 at Christchurch's Wolfbrook Arena, with Natalie Imbruglia as special guest. The Frontier Touring run supports his sixteenth studio album, released in 2025.

The demand signal is already visible: the Rod Laver Arena date in Melbourne sold out and a second show was added. Worth noting how differently he is working either side of it — before the arena run he plays a stripped-down Bare Bones show at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on October 28, 2026, an acoustic booking in a room a fraction the size.

7. Thomas Rhett, Soundtrack To Life UK

Thomas Rhett's three-date UK run reaches The O2 in London on April 23, 2027, after opening April 22 at Manchester's AO Arena and before closing April 25 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, with fellow country singer Kameron Marlowe supporting throughout.

It is his first headline arena run in the United Kingdom in almost a decade, which makes it a reasonable barometer of how far American country has actually traveled — three arenas, not three theaters. The timing is immediate rather than distant: a Live Nation sign-up presale opened August 4, 2026 and the general on-sale is today, August 7.

8. John Mulaney Takes Manhattan

The last one is not a music booking, but it is the strangest structure of the eight. John Mulaney closes Mulaney Takes Manhattan at Madison Square Garden on January 15, 2027 — the ninth night of a nine-night residency staged in nine different New York City rooms.

The sequence starts January 7 at the Comedy Cellar and climbs deliberately in scale through the Blue Note, Joe's Pub, the Bowery Ballroom, the Music Box Theatre, the Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall before the Garden. It is a residency built as a staircase rather than a stand, and it extends his Mister Whatever world tour, which runs across North America through December 2026.

What the 2027 list tells you about buying tickets

Read these eight together and a pattern shows up. Six of the eight are reunions, farewells, anniversaries or residencies — bookings whose value comes from being finite. Only Thomas Rhett's run is a straightforward album tour with a normal on-sale still ahead of it. Everything else went on sale in late July 2026, roughly six months before the first show, because the people buying already knew what they were waiting for.

The practical takeaway: for 2027, the on-sale date has drifted much earlier than the show date, and the window between announcement and sellout keeps shrinking. If a name here matters to you, the decision point has probably already passed once rather than not yet arrived.
