Lionel Richie headlined the grand opening of Acrisure Amphitheater in downtown Grand Rapids on May 15, 2026, the first concert at the 12,000-capacity riverfront venue built for 184 million dollars. The War and Treaty and Michigan songwriter Brian Vander Ark opened the night. A free community celebration with food trucks and a drone show followed on May 16.
